Let’s get deep. Deep into skin. I’ve never actually done a blog post about my skincare routine before. I’ve only recently been more confident about my skin, and let me tell you why.
I didn’t take good care of my skin before. Thankfully, I’ve never ran into any big issues. My skin is on the dry side and I don’t get break outs often. My skin is not sensitive either, meaning I don’t need much to take care of it. I had a basic routine of wash and moisturizer every day and night. The only problem I’ve been having with my skin these days is my freckles. Don’t get me wrong, I love my freckles. They are different and unique and what makes me ME. I’ve had them since I was a little girl and they never really bothered me until recently. Freckles run in my family, especially the women. I started noticing in the past few years that my elders who had freckles started to get dark circles. Their freckles were darkening, and not in the cute way. It gave them a more aged look, and I have a feeling that will eventually happen to me. I tried a few skin brightening serums here and there, but never stuck to them because I didn’t see or feel any results. I recently came across SkinMedica’s LyteraⓇ 2.0 Pigment Correcting Serum. I decided to give it a go, given the amazing reviews. I’m also never afraid to try anything new since my skin isn’t very sensitive. I can honestly say that I love this product. I’ve been using it for about two months now and began noticing a difference in my skin within the first two weeks. It really addresses skin discoloration and improves overall skin tone. My freckles look lighter and my complexion is brighter than it was before I began using it. I’ve been using this religiously every day and night. I wash my face before applying the serum all over my face and neck, concentrating heavily on my freckled areas, then follow with moisturizer. Here are some shameless, no make up photos of my skin before and after.
I’ve been so comfortable without make up these days. I feel like my skin has been on its best behavior and SkinMedicaⓇ is definitely one of the reasons why. If you’re having problems with discoloration, I highly suggest you give this a try. It’s paraben free and dermatologist approved. Click HERE for more from SkinMedicaⓇ.
