Shea Buttered.

I’ve been getting so much more into skin care these days. I love trying new products and learning about my skin as I age. Every time I finish one product, I move on to a new one. These days, I’ve been getting into shea butter products. I’ve been using a few new ones from Sephora. With the arrival of fall, I’ve been prepping my skin for dropping temperatures. You see, my skin is on the drier side, making fall and winter the worst seasons for me. As I get older, I’m learning to prepare my skin for what’s to come. I’ve partnered up with Sephora to tell you how.

I naturally gravitate towards anything that would hydrate me. I always start and end the day with a clean face. This Shea Cleansing Oil has been a godsend. It’s gentle on my skin, but strong enough to remove all the dirt and make up. It also doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry, which is the most important aspect I look for in a face wash.

Depending on the time of day, I follow with this Shea Light Comforting Cream. I usually go with this in the mornings. I love the airy consistency of this stuff. It’s perfectly lightweight, but is also packed with nourishing and hydrating strength. It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple all day long without the greasy feel.

At night, I would follow with Shea Ultra Rich Cream instead. With a high concentration of shea butter, it does wonders for my skin overnight. It’s almost like a moisture-marinating overnight mask. I love using this, not only all over the face, but on my neck as well. I wake up to the most hydrated skin in the mornings, and repeat the process all over again.

It’s THAT simple. Taking care of your skin is a form of self care that I practice religiously. I’m happy to say that at the age of 28, I’ve never felt better about my skin. Shea butter products are perfect for the upcoming seasons and they’re easy to incorporate into anyone’s daily routine. Head over to Sephora to check out more shea butter skincare for your collection.
